The idea is not to get married, rather to be married. Marriage is the most important, but most difficult thing any person can due. At the same time, if can(I am told) be extremely rewarding. Through marriage one brings Hashem into the world even more than 'simply' doing Mitzvot. Why would someone not want that?
Qtap- you hit the nail on the head- and I didn't know your last point- that marriage brings Hashem more into the world than Mitzvos! Thank you for such a nice thought.
