A Freilichen Purim!

For all those outside of Yerushalayim, a Freilichen Purim! For all those joining me here in Ir HaKodesh- wishing you one last slightly relaxing day before Purim Fever starts.
Interestingly, did you know there are places that celebrate 2 days of Purim according to Halacha? Places like Yaffo or Tiveria (Jaffa and Tiberias) celebrate 2 days, as there is some discussion about whether they were walled or not in Yehoshua's times, and whether the ancient cities by those names are in the same places now. Also, a really cool article about different "Purims" throughout the ages. Enjoy!

Tzfat and Chevron...

And the Rav of Lod holds two days also, but doesn't want to impose the chumra on anyone else, since he's not sure if Lod needs two days.

Chanie- very interesting, I did not know that!!
Although- if the rav himself keeps 2 days, why would he think his kehila would not?

He keeps it, because he thinks it's a safek. But because it's a safek of a safek, he doesn't want to impose on his kehilla. I found out from the Rebbetzin.

Thanks! Wow, I can't even envision keeping 2 Purims L'Halacha. I mean- I have gone to Bnai Brak or some other place on Purim I, but never actually kept Purim I and II.

Me neither. One day of partying is more than enough for me. (My favorite chag is Y"K.)

But apparently, you just use the leftovers from Purim 1, and keep the mitzvot in a less-loud way. Supposedly it's not too much of a tircha.
